PARIS HILTON's lover STAVROS NIARCHOS III was left red-faced this weekend (22APR06) when officials gate-crashed his 21st birthday party and demanded to check every guest was old enough to legally consume alcohol.
Rumours concerning the Greek heir's age began circulating when he was turned away from a second nightclub, Hard Rock, on New Year's Eve (31DEC05) because his ID indicated he was just 19. Following the brief interruption at Las Vegas' Tao @ The Venitian club on Saturday night, Niarchos was presented with a 50-pound (22.6 kilogram) cake bearing a sparkler for each year of his life.
Both the Venitian nightspot and the Hard Rock club were contacted by the Clark County Business License Department in January (06) about underage party-goers.
