Gossip news from sources at ABC is that they will announce the departure of Star Jones from The View this week according to the New York Post.After Meredith Vieira announced that she would be leaving the show to take Katie Couric’s place on the Today show, Rosie O’Donnell agreed to come on board with the condition that Star Jones must be gone. Since Barbara Walters never liked Star and the network was upset with her continued plugs about her own personal deals on air, it was clear that she would be canned.
