The 40-something year old actress recently revealed to Allure magazine that she tried for nearly a decade to adopt in the United States and India. "I understand now. There's no mistake at all -- ever -- in adoption, no mistake. However these babies come, it's very perfect."Meg says Jack, her 13-year old son from her marriage to the actor Dennis Quaid, welcomed his little sister's arrival. She also says the girl-next-door image she made famous in romantic comedies like 'Sleepless in Seattle' has become a nuisance."I don't think you can win in any way with this image. It just confounds me. No one should shrink to fit the idea someone imposes on them. No one!"
